About

Estefania is a creative Producer, Director, DP & Editor specialising in community-orientated and socially-conscious documentaries. She has extensive experience working for major broadcasters, brands, charities and the public and health sector. Some of her clients include Adidas, CNN, BBC and Aljazeera+. Estefania creates beautifully crafted films that capture the essence and authenticity of the protagonists. In her documentaries, she always aims to create an intimacy that draws the audience in. Filming with people with learning difficulties, shooting in children's hospices and attending several home births are some experiences that have made her a very respectful and approachable filmmaker, capable of creating environments where the contributor feels safe and at ease. Her work has been featured in Glimmer Glimpse and Cultura Inquieta. She received the Best International Film award at the ZIFF 2021 for her documentary LUZ which focuses on natural birth. Her documentary series Being Brent, which celebrates the power of a united community, has become part of the Archives at Brent Museum.
