About

Trina Espinoza jumped into video production in 2014 when she launched a channel demystifying the science behind cosmetics. Her work has led to notable appearances with organizations like CBS, American Chemical Society, and Society of Cosmetic Chemists, a collaboration with Google, and an Emmy nomination. In front of the camera, she’s worked as science writer and host for Seeker, a popular science channel, with over five million subscribers. On the series Elements, she shares the latest breakthrough science captivating audiences with topics like What Would It Actually Take for Humans to Hibernate?, and How Scientists Are Creating Diamonds From CO2 Emissions, and The Wild Plan To Bring Back The Wooly Mammoth. In 2022, she expanded her role by hosting a second show, Science or Fiction, a series designed to engage younger audiences through content tailored for social media platforms like Snapchat. Behind the camera, she’s been a producer for a health series on PBS Digital, created edits and graphics for her own YouTube channel, and prior to setting foot in communications she was an Editor, Technical Director, and Global Director of Color Science in the feature film industry. Currently, she’s writing freelance for her clients and working on a technical project in the beauty space.
