Tamer Hassan is an filmmaker and film editor living in New York City. His films have screened at film festivals, galleries and museums internationally including at Viennale, Art of the Real at Lincoln Center, Cinéma du Réel, Mar Del Plata International Film Festival, Sheffield DocFest and Punto de Vista. He has been a fellow at the Flaherty Film Seminar and the UnionDocs Collaborative Studio and participated in the Berlinale Talents Program. His work as an editor on both documentary and narrative films has screened at venues including Sharjah Film Platform and Oberhausen Film Festival. He is also experienced editing educational and promotional videos for clients including UNICEF, the US State Department and the Penn Museum of Archeology and Anthropology. He has taught at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and currently teaches at Parsons School of Design.
