I am a professional editor who makes movies. For almost 30 years I have been editing TV shows, films, promo videos, commercials and more to pay the bills, and have directed two original feature documentaries and several shorts with more on the way.

About

Ryan Mayers is an Emmy award winning filmmaker with over 20 years of experience in both television and film. His work has been seen on NBC, CBS, MTV, A&E Biography, ESPN, BET, DIY, PBS, and Disney. His feature documentary Walk With Frank has been seen around the country and his short Jmaxx and the Universal Language continues to inspire through streaming platforms Kweli and Sproutflix. He is currently in post production on his most recent film about the merging of a football rivalry in a divided former coal mining town in Pennsylvania called Hustle and Harmony. While working at Harpo Studios in Chicago, he edited the documentary series Oprah’s Next Chapter, among other shows for the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN). Ryan lives in Baltimore where he works as a freelance creative film editor and director, and collaborating with the talented Baltimore film community.
