I'm a New York based filmmaker and video editor with a degree in Politics and Documentary Production from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY.

About

Having just moved to New York City after living several years in France, Julien has a B.A. in political theory & documentary. His film work primarily focuses on labor rights/exploitation, language, and culture. His documentary Home is Here, about the life and activism of Dolores, a migrant farmworker, aired on WXXI Rochester in 2020. Along with his friend and frequent collaborator Edie McRoberts, he is putting together a small film production company, Final Cult Pictures. In the long term, his goal is to go to grad school, working to integrate his audiovisual work with his political theory research. He tends to focus his theoretical work on political economy, labor, migrant rights, and languages. Outside of work, youll find him in Zoom reading groups or photographing street protests.
