Ishan Thakore

Ishan Thakore is a multimedia journalist whose work spans print, radio and video storytelling. He started his career as a fact-checker on Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, where he researched segments and (very) occasionally appeared on-air. As one of a handful of Fulbright-National Geographic Fellows, he pitched and reported a documentary project about large dams in South Africa, Lesotho and Cambodia (currently in post-production). His next project was an audio documentary for the BBC World Service/Sundance Institute about a luxury island and tax-haven in Lagos, Nigeria. (His claim to fame is that Robert Redford said his name, albeit incorrectly, during the project intro). He rejoined Full Frontal on the field team and helped pitch and produce stories around the world. Recently, his investigative reporting on evictions was supported by an Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) fellowship, and he was a Field Producer on the Ukraine episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman on Netflix (2022).
