Herbert Niles has over 20 years of experience as a writer, producer, media industry professional and government affairs executive. Mr. Niles has worked as a content development and production executive at Orion Pictures; as an independent screenwriter; producer; and served as Vice President of Film Development and Acquisitions at BET Networks. Mr. Niles is currently the Associate Director, Film Division at the DC Office of Cable Television, Film, Music and Entertainment (OCTFME) where he supervises and administrates programs and initiatives in support of the District of Columbia’s media production industry and creative economy. He is a graduate of Stanford University and a member of the Writers Guild of America, West.
