About

Heba Elorbany is a journalist and filmmaker based in New York. In 2017, she made her first documentary, LIFEHOUSE, a short investigative film about crisis pregnancy centers in New York City which earned her the Dupont-Crichton Award at Columbia. She is currently producing a feature documentary about Muslim-American civil rights activists and another about a youth-led immigrant rights organization in Detroit. Heba also produces audio stories and live performances.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
