I'm a multimedia non-fiction filmmaker, based in Texas, who explores stories centering queerness and disability community.

About

Em is a nonbinary filmmaker with a passion for non-fiction storytelling centering queer and disabled voices. Currently, they are based in Austin, Texas. Their films have screened at festivals including Oak Cliff Film Festival, and Vancouver Queer Film Festival. Most recently, Em received the 2023 Austin Film Society Short Film Grant for their upcoming documentary short EARTH TO KB. Em holds an MFA in Film and Media Production from The University of Texas at Austin, and a BFA in Animation from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. Outside of directing, they have work as a freelance editor and production designer.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
