Ina Sotirova

Ina Sotirova is an award-winning filmmaker and TEDx speaker with 15 years of experience in media. With a background in photography and journalism, published internationally (BBC, Reuters, Digital Photo Pro, among others), Ina specialized in documentary filmmaking at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism. Since then, she has written, directed, filmed and edited documentaries, fiction, video art, music videos, and more, and worked with foundations, NGOs, luxury brands, diplomatic missions, international organizations and private clients on their visual storytelling needs. Alumna of Film Lab Jamaica, Jihlava Academy Creative Lab and M:Brane, winner of the DuPont / Judy F. Crichton award for visual storytelling, Jafta Propella, the Catapult Arts Grant, Kingston Creative Pitch Forward and more, Ina specializes in uplifting, empowering and inspiring films, rich in cultural flavor and diversity, grounded in the human experience, and often sprinkled with a flair for the spiritual nature of our world. A citizen of the world born in Bulgaria, she has been living, growing, creating and teaching in Jamaica since 2015, endlessly inspired by the island's people, culture and natural mystic.
