MOLLY WHEAT (she/her) is a screenwriter, director, producer, and cinematographer— or, more simply, a filmmaker. Her films have played at festivals in Arkansas, Oklahoma, California, Alaska, and New York. In 2019, she was the first woman to win Best Directing at Little Rock’s 48 Hour Film Project with her short, Waiting Room. Her short Call Me When You Can won Best Independent Film at the Rogers Film Festival in 2021, and Best Microshort at the Made in Arkansas Film Festival in 2022. She first found her storytelling voice through photography, which gradually led to music videos and films.
