About

Rossella is an award-winning filmmaker based in northern Italy. Her latest documentary “Taxiderman”–about a rock and roll taxidermist in Padua who makes his living stuffing dead pets for grieving owners–hit the international festival circuit in 2021 and boasts multiple selections and several awards. Her previous documentary work has appeared on The Guardian, The Establishment, and The Huffington Post. She is currently in the early stages of developing a feature length documentary about an Ayahuasca cult in Italy, at odds with the Catholic establishment and the Italian government. Rossella freelances as a director and producer (Folium Films, Replica Productions, Vice Media, World of Wonder), typically acting as a bridge between the United States and Italy / Europe. Her latest role is as Archival / Associate Producer for Gert Production’s feature-length documentary about Robert Rauschenberg's victory at the '64 Venice Biennale. She holds a BFA in film with a focus on documentary from the City College of New York, and a certificate in journalism from NYU’s School Of Professional Studies. Originally from Milan, she has also lived in India, Texas, Australia, and NYC; and is fluently bilingual in Italian and English.
