Laura Asherman is a documentary director/cinematographer and the owner of Forage Films. With an innate interest in human resilience and personal identity, Laura creates character-driven stories that serve to foster awareness and positive social change. Her largely self-taught filmmaking style combines verité, experimental, and expository styles of the non-fiction genre. As a human and an artist, Laura challenges herself to see the world from a multi-dimensional perspective, and invites her viewers to do the same. Her recent work includes award-winning documentaries: American Hasi, Power Lines, and The Home Team.
