Joe is a filmmaker, motion designer, musician, and creative leader building his independent studio Fire-Works Film. He's best known for co-founding Vox Video in 2014, building their award-winning YouTube channel and creating Emmy-nominated streaming series like Level Playing Field on HBO, and Explained on Netflix under a range of titles from Multimedia Director to Head of Video and EP. He also was Semafor's Head of Video, a 2023 New America Fellow. Before that, created animation for documentary films such as Freakonomics, If a Tree Falls, and Point and Shoot.
