About

My name is Jessica Wang and I am currently a Production Assistant at National Geographic Partners. In 2021, I graduated from Duke University where I majored in environmental sciences and also received a certificate in documentary studies. Studying environmental science, I had the opportunity to do field research in a number of field sites and ecosystems around the globe. I spent a summer researching bottlenose dolphins in the Chesapeake Bay, I studied tropical ecology in Panama during a semester abroad, and I spent a month measuring trees and searching for wildlife in the rainforests of Gabon. As a documentary studies student, I have taken courses in video production and I have created short documentary films, the majority of which have been environmentally focused. Moving forward in my career, I am interested in creating impact-driven media that focuses on conservation storytelling. I hope to become a field producer and cinematographer.
