Jessie Dong is an independent documentary filmmaker and sociologist. Her style and ethos toward documentary could be described as: offbeat, warm, authentic, and unabashed. After realizing that she would much rather explore the world behind a camera -- not a computer screen -- she decided to start her own one-woman-run-and-gun band. She is currently a PhD student in Sociology at Yale University and Junior Fellow at the Yale Center for Cultural Sociology.
