Mexican American cinematographer specializing in documentary films and best known for his work in Latin America and the Middle East. He has operated as an independent filmmaker in over 50 countries earning him several honors, including seven Emmy® Awards, a Peabody, two BAFTA nominations, a Pulitzer Prize, the Bayeux-Calvados Normandy Award and two World Press Photo Awards. His visual tone, influenced by his early days as a photojournalist, delivers an intimate, and at times unvarnished look into our world. His work has been featured in National Geographic, HBO, Showtime, VICE News, Hulu, Amazon Video, Channel 4, BBC, PBS as well as in film festivals around the world. Equipment list upon request.
