Jessamyn Ansary is a writer, producer and filmmaker. Her debut feature documentary film, Lee Fields: Faithful Man, premiered at Doc NYC in fall 2022, and won the audience award for best documentary feature at the Charlotte Film festival. Jessamyn got her start as an associate producer on acclaimed director Michael Apted’s multi-year documentary film, Married in America. Between 2008 and 2014 she worked on five different HBO documentaries, including The Alzheimer’s Project, Wartorn, and Americans in Bed. She was part of the producing team on the Emmy-nominated healthcare documentary Escape Fire, and from 2016 - 2018 she was a writer and story producer on the long running Travel Channel series Mysteries at the Museum. Other TV experience includes writing and producing for networks such as National Geographic, HBO Max, Oxygen, PBS, and CNBC, among others, and casting talent for multiple Food Network shows, including Chopped. Most recently, Jessamyn co-produced a feature true crime documentary for Hulu, and produced a series of short branded documentaries for eBay. Jessamyn is currently a scriptwriter for Jupiter Entertainment, where she writes for multiple true crime shows including Snapped and Sins of the City.
