Hailey Sadler is a National Geographic Explorer, filmmaker, and award-winning photojournalist based out of Washington, DC who has worked across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. Her work explores themes of trauma, memory, and identity, particularly through the psychological and emotional experiences of conflict and forced displacement. Hailey specializes in projects that require intimate access, trauma-informed storytelling, and sensitive subject matter.
Hailey's storytelling has been supported by grants from the National Geographic Society, the Berkeley Film Foundation, Getty Images, Adobe, the IWMF, Solutions Journalism Network, and more. She is also a founder of The Home Collective, a long term documentary project exploring the concept of home and its definitive role in shaping our future.
