Engy Adham is a documentary filmmaker and journalist based in New York City who is fiercely passionate about amplifying stories that challenge mainstream narratives and expose corruption. Her experience stretches from covering daily news in print journalism in Egypt to documentary filmmaking in the United States. She currently works as a production assistant for CNN. Previously, she worked as an associate producer for JOIN OR, DIE Documentary Film, a production assistant for the Oscar-shortlisted and Emmy Nominated HBO film THE JANES, an archival researcher for THE MEN WHO SOLD THE WORLD CUP documentary series on Discovery+, a production assistant for ANSWERED at Vox Media Studios, among others. As a journalist, she covered topics ranging from breaking news on the political scene in Egypt, sexual harassment, women's rights, immigrant stories, and art as a tool of resistance. Her articles have appeared in Ahram Online, Daily News Egypt, and Egyptian Streets, Business Forward, among others. She recently completed her graduate studies in Television, Radio, and Film at S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in New York.
