Elodie Edjang is a values-based multidisciplinary storyteller and story consultant with foundations in documentary filmmaking. She is also a disability consultant specializing in areas of neurodiversity, mental health, and chronic illness. Elodie worked as the lead video editor for Local Legend Films, a Chicago-based production company and social enterprise committed to employing young men at risk of gun violence. She was selected as a 2019 NeXt Doc Fellow, a fellowship for emerging filmmakers of color. Elodie has been involved with media organizations exploring social issues including Australian television program Insight, a leading forum for ideas and powerful first-person stories and Kartemquin Films a non-profit production company and collaborative center for documentary media makers. Her latest short documentary Book of Daniel (2018) screened at Tacoma Film Festival (2018), Black Harvest Film Festival (2019), and Block Cinema of Art (2018). Elodie is committed to peer support, community building and community engagement in the documentary field and plans to expand her skillsets into other areas including tech, design, and higher education.
