Diane Tsai is a Taiwanese-American documentary filmmaker and senior producer at TIME. She is a producer of Firsts, TIME's award-winning documentary series on 46 groundbreaking women from Hillary Clinton to Serena Williams, which was named Pictures of the Year International Documentary Project of the Year and selected for the U.S. State Department’s American Film Showcase. She is also the producer, cinematographer and editor of Evidence of Things Unseen, a TIME Red Border Films short documentary featuring an Iraq War veteran and former President George W. Bush. Her work has also been recognized by the Webby Awards, Vimeo Staff Pick, Newswomen’s Club of New York, and SPD, among others, and in 2018 she was named a finalist for the Livingston Award. Most recently, her documentary work has received support from DOC NYC and AmDocs Film Fund. Diane is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism and is based in New York City.
