Dana Flor is a documentary director and producer based in Washington D.C. Her latest film is a feature length documentary that premiered at Tribeca called Check It about a black gay gang in DC. The film is executive produced by Steve Buscemi and Stanley Tucci and is currently being adapted for a television series. Flor will be an executive producer for the fictional series adaptation of Check It. She also co-directed and produced The Nine Lives of Marion Barry – a feature length documentary about the infamous politician that appeared on HBO and played Closing Night at the 2009 Silverdocs Film Festival. A feature fiction film based on the documentary is being directed by Spike Like and Flor is working as a consultant on that film.
