Benedict Moran is currently a Special Correspondent for PBS Newshour. He has directed, reported, and produced for The Guardian, PBS Frontline, Al Jazeera, VICE News, ARTE, the Christian Science Monitor, Foreign Policy, NPR, CBC News, PRI, France24, and more. He has traveled and worked in more than 80 countries. Benedict worked as a news producer for Al Jazeera America and was the United Nations and diplomatic producer for Al Jazeera English. He earned his bachelor’s degree from McGill University in Montreal, and a Masters of Science in Journalism and a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University. Prior to journalism, Benedict spent five years as an aid worker in various parts of Africa.
