Amanda Chemeche is a Yale-based documentary filmmaker. Her practice focuses heavily on marginalized groups pressed into the social periphery, exploring how they negotiate their identities in the face of displacement. Incorporating her dual Master's degrees in East Asian and American Studies, her work lies at the intersection of ethnography, visual culture, and community advocacy. In each of her films, Amanda actively blends archival and historical research with personal narratives.
