About

Alex is a video producer and motion designer with an interest in non-fiction storytelling. He got his start creating with a camera in 2007 by documenting his friends skateboarding, and although he's never stopped that initial love, that passion has grown as he's covered stories across science and culture from ongoing protests to unknown history to our changing climate. Since graduating with a Bachelor’s of Arts in 2017, Alex has focused on documentary and journalism, combining his skills in videography, editing, and motion design to tell the stories that he want to see told on the internet. Currently, Alex works as a producer and editor for Jenkem Magazine and recently worked as a producer and motion designer for the now-shuttered outlet, The Messenger.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
