I am Adebowale Williams, a Nigerian filmmaker based in New York City. My passion for visual storytelling was fostered by the home movies and videos that were a regular part of my family's entertainment. As I grew older, I started learning new techniques and was fascinated by the way movies could evoke
emotions and experiences. I have directed video documentaries and worked as a freelance filmmaker for government NGOs and private organizations. In addition, I founded ASM Filmz.
As a documentary filmmaker, I am passionate about exploring the untold stories of Africa and Africans. I believe that documentaries offer a unique opportunity to shed light on social and political issues and to present a unique perspective that can lead to positive change.
