About

Abhijit is an engineer turned filmmaker from Bangalore, India. In a country with diverse cultures and socio-political dialogues dissecting the rural and urban folks, he strives to create visually evocative films that are an honest reflection of the country's marginalized communities- films that offer a window into the daily lives of the rural populace aiming to strike up a conversation across the urban landscapes.

Broken Cradles

In a society where girls are not valued, a group of women in a small village band together to fight against the deep-rooted patriarchy and cultural norms that have long oppressed them. Through their struggles, we witness the daily lives of mothers and young girls, who are subjected to discrimination and violence simply for being female. As the women work to challenge the status quo, they inspire their community to confront the issue of gender-based discrimination head-on and work towards creating a more equitable future for all.
