About

Mapastepec, Chiapas, 1996. Audiovisual producer and researcher, with a degree in Communication and a Master's in Cultural Studies from the Autonomous University of Chiapas. He works as a researcher on social issues such as child migration in Chiapas. He has also worked as a cinematographer, producer and 2D animator on works such as Huachinango Rojo (2023), nominated for the 66th Ariel Award, and El secreto de un buen café: Rita (2022). He has recently stood out alongside Cinthya Toledo as finalists for the Bengala Award for the fiction story "La mancha en la casa y otras cosas que no se puede borrar", which narrates problems such as child migration and transnational families that are experienced in Mapastepec. Currently, his short documentary "Cómo logran las aves volar y no caerse?" is in the production stage, a beneficiary of PECDA Chiapas 2024. His work is aimed at working on the social problems that are experienced in his environment, using audiovisual methods as visibility tools.
