Philadelphia: Stand Up for Madinah Film Screening
Philly! Hang with us on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 6:30pm for a special night of doc film at PhillyCAM.
Let’s start the year with a special screening of Stand Up for Madinah, a powerful short documentary that premiered on Al Jazeera English’s Witness. The film follows Madinah Wilson-Anton—a Black Muslim woman, the first female Muslim legislator in Delaware, and a local stand-up comedian.
Following the screening, you’re welcome to stay for a thoughtful conversation with the filmmaker Zainab Sultan, moderated by Philadelphia writer and content creator Whitney Roberts. We’ll then continue the evening at a nearby bar for drinks, conversation, and casual schmoozing.
