Nicole Bozorgmir is an award-winning producer, director, and journalist whose work has aired on HBO, Vice TV, Showtime and PBS. She has reported stories around the US and internationally, including Iraq, Turkey, China, Cuba, Lebanon, Ukraine, Mexico, South Africa and Bangladesh. Nicole frequently works in conflict zones covering sensitive and complicated topics with nuance and depth, including the struggles facing transgender youth, reintegrating child Lighters of ISIS, and mental illness on death row. Nicole also co-created, directed, and produced a three-part Vice TV original seriesSmall Town Secretsthe result of a four- year long investigation into a cold case in Indiana. In her role as Senior Editorial Producer, she has overseen multiple teams across projects in development, production, and through to delivery. Nicole is also the producer behind several groundbreaking investigations, including into the persecution of China's Muslim Uyghurs which won Emmy Awards for Outstanding Research and Investigative Report, and into the death of Breonna Taylor, which was recognized with an Emmy, George Polk and Edward R. Murrow Awards. Her other work has been honored with Emmys, a Gracie, and a Front Page Award. Before Vice, Nicole worked at Ark Media on several long-form documentaries for PBS, including the Peabody-winning series The African Americans: Many Rivers to Cross.
