About
MJ Johnson is a visual journalist and filmmaker who was born and raised in Japan. She has worked as a local reporter for the San Francisco Examiner and KQED, and created video content for The Oregonian. She currently works as an associate producer on an independent documentary feature film and is a freelance videographer. She received her B.A. in Journalism from San Francisco State University in 2020 and is studying for her master's degree at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism, with a concentration in documentary filmmaking.
