Luke Terrell is a Midwest-based documentary film Director/Producer who focuses on stories connected to disability and incarceration. His feature debut, Gabe, about his friend with muscular dystrophy, won Best Documentary at the St. Louis International Film Festival and FirstGlance Los Angeles, and Best Director at the St. Louis Filmmaker's Showcase. His most recent feature, Your Friend Memphis, premiered at SXSW and was supported by the IDA, Kartemquin Films, Film Independent, Docs in Progress, the Derek Freese Documentary Fund, and the Big Sky Pitch Competition. Both were repped in sales by Submarine Entertainment. His short Groundhog Town premiered at the 2022 Big Sky Documentary Film Festival and was sold to The New Yorker. He is in production on his third feature, working title Unlocked, which was supported by the Doc Society Threshold Fund.
