Lily is a documentary filmmaker with almost a decade of experience. Most recently, a Paramount+ film she produced, Lynching Postcards: Token of a Great Day, was shortlisted for the 2022 Academy Awards, won the NAACP Image Award for “Outstanding Short-Form Series or Special – Reality/Nonfiction,” was nominated for a Peabody award, was shortlisted at DocNYC Film Festival, and premiered at AFI Fest 2021. Previously, she spent almost 5 years working on the Critic’s Choice and Writers Guild Award nominated 2021 Netflix series Amend: The Fight for America, and was heavily involved in all stages of production from the earliest research & development through post production. She has worked for some of the top production houses in film, including MTV Studios, Apple Studios, The Documentary Group, Springhill Entertainment, Firelight Films, and MakeMake Entertainment. Her work explores themes of social justice, American inequality, and the relevance of history to modern life.
