About
I'm a Libyan-American filmmaker with over a decade of experience directing, producing, and developing premium documentary series and films for global streaming platforms including Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and National Geographic. I began as a news producer at Al Jazeera English in Doha, Qatar where I was part of the Peabody award-winning newsroom team covering the Arab Spring.
My work has taken me to six continents producing stories that merge journalism and cinematic verite filmmaking with a human-first lense. From filming deep-sea divers in the caves of Mexico, uncovering the economics of heroin trafficking in East Africa, and investigating the legacy and removal of unexploded ordinances across Laos- my goal is to center and leverage the impact of mission-driven stories.
I'm the recipient of a HBO and the Gotham Film & Media Institute grant, and a Camden Film Festival North Star fellowship.
