Kate Oliva

Kate has spent her career in roles that balance creativity and strategy, led by a belief that we can create social impact through storytelling. In the last 13 years, she has developed, written, produced, and directed content ranging from social media series and scripted short films to documentaries (shorts, series, features) and campaign videos. During her three years as the VP of Content & Education at Kiss the Ground, she led the strategy for three programs and developed and produced all of their films and educational content. Highlights of this work include branded content with Good Culture and Elektra Records, an animated short film co-written with Indigenous activist and author Lyla June Johnston, a documentary on farming in Arizona, and campaign spots for the #RegenerateAmerica initiative. In addition to filmmaking, she provides creative and strategic consulting services to purpose-driven organizations including Good Energy, a nonprofit focused on combating climate change through storytelling.
