About

Raised in Austin, Texas, Jake is a documentary director and video producer based in LA and the Bay Area. While born in California, Jake will tell you he’s an Austinite and a Texan through and through, and in that order. An MFA graduate of UCLA's Theater, Film and Television School, and Jake is inspired by art history and documentary reenactment in his cinematography. He focuses particularly on stories based in Texas, the American Southwest, Mexico and Central America. His documentary work has been featured in the New York Times, the Texas Standard, and for KUTX among other news outlets while his corporate clients have included clients such as UCLA Health and the University of Texas.
