Investigative reporter and documentary news producer from Colombia, based in New York City. My work is centered on the experiences of people facing failing political and social systems, blending strong investigative reporting techniques and storytelling skills across a diverse set of beats with local and international scopes, such as immigration, lobbying and corruption in the US, and political and criminal violence in Latin America. My work has received various awards, including a News and Documentary Emmy, a Peabody, an Overseas Press Club, and an Edward R. Murrow in the Hard News category. Additionally, I was a finalist for a Livingston Award, recognizing the best reporting and storytelling by journalists under the age of 35.
