About

Dan Papa is an independent filmmaker and musician based in Philadelphia. He wrote and directed the feature film MAYA in 2013, and the short film AQUAE SULIS in 2015. In 2021 he produced and edited the short documentary MIDNIGHT OIL directed by Bilal Motley, and continued the collaboration with Bilal in 2022 with the short QUARANTINE KIDS. Dan is the Technical Director at Scribe Video Center, a media center dedicated to community and documentary filmmaking.

The Video Consortium is a global nonprofit media organization that supports the world’s nonfiction filmmakers and video journalists to tell bold stories that change the world.
