About

I'm a Brazilian documentary filmmaker and documentary storytelling specialist. I was born in São Paulo, Brazil, a city of contrasts and contradictions. From the beginning, I became interested in art, curious about how I could connect with the reality around me, and in the stories of people, as historical documents of the time and space we live in. I am currently a Ph.D. student in Communication at Unesp (Bauru / Brazil). I also spent 6 months in the U.S. as a visiting scholar at the University of Miami (2022-2023). I have a bachelor's degree in Broadcasting (Faculdade Cásper Líbero / São Paulo / Brazil / 2005), with a specialization in Film Directing (ESCAC - School of Cinema and Audiovisuals of Catalunya / Barcelona / Spain / 2008) and a master in Arts (Unesp / São Paulo / Brasil / 2020). I worked as the director and scriptwriter of a talk show, three series of documentaries for television, and a feature documentary film, among other projects in non-fiction, working as scriptwriter, director, and editor. In the academic field, I worked as the supervisor of the media lab “Experimental Audiovisual Production Hub" (Faculdade Cásper Líbero / 2018-2019). As a scholar, documentary filmmaker, and artist-researcher, my goal is to develop projects that work on reimagining society, building collective knowledge, and bringing visibility to a wider diversity of narratives.
